SELECTMEN NEWS: Selectmen To Interview Board Of Appeals Candidates TONIGHT, Appointment Expected

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen is holding a special meeting on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 7pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9) to interview Board of Appeals candidates.

The vacancy arose after former Board of Appeals Chairman Ed Loud was elected to the Board of Selectmen in April.  The unexpired term runs through April 30, 2020.

Seven residents expressed interest to the Board of Selectmen prior to the May 17 deadline.  Selectmen will interview each candidate according to the following schedule:

  • Mark Nelson (7pm-7:15pm)
  • Joseph Lavino, ParmD, RPh, JD (7:15pm-7:30pm)
  • Neal J. Couture (7:30pm-7:45pm)
  • Raymond Lepore (7:45pm-8pm)
  • Michele Peltz (8pm-8:15pm)
  • Robert N. Oliveri (8:15pm-8:30pm)
  • Edward Palermo (8:30pm-8:45pm)

Selectmen are expected to vote to fill the vacancy immediately after the interviews and discussion.

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV-G — Channel 22 on Comcast and Channel 38 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
