PHOTO: Wilmington’s Bernie Nally Receives Distinguished Service Medal From Freemasons

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington’s Bernie Nally recently received one of Massachusetts Freemasonry’s highest honors — the Joseph Warren Distinguished Service Medal.

According to the Masons of Massachusetts, the medal, created in 1930, is conferred by the Grand Master “upon such Brethren as may have rendered distinguished service to the Lodges of which they are members.”

The medal shows a likeness of Revolutionary hero and Boston physician Joseph Warren who was killed in the Battle of Bunker Hill while serving as Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Massachusetts.
