WILMINGTON, MA — Becky McGrath was named the 2017 Wilmington Good Guy at Friday night’s 49th Annual Good Guy Dinner at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus.
The Good Guy Award is “designed to honor that person, male or female, who goes beyond the normal call of duty to make Wilmington a better place in which to live.”
McGrath, a founding member of We’re One Wilmington and its Vice President of Outreach, was recognized for her volunteer contributions to the town. McGrath is perhaps best known for coordinating WOW’s popular Festival of Trees. She recently played a key volunteer leadership role in Wilmington’s First Annual Special Olympics. McGrath serves as a Wilmington Memorial Library Ambassador and designed the group’s logo. In fact, as a graphic and web designer, she has donated her time and expertise to create logos for several Wilmington community organizations, including Wilmington Youth Soccer, the Sole Sisters Running Club, and the Wilmington Educational Foundation.
Wilmington Apple will have more coverage of the dinner in the coming days.
In the meantime, check out these fantastic photos courtesy of Dick Searfoss.
