  1. A festival trashed the Lawrence high turf field. Wilmington officials need to wake up and ban non sports activities from these turf field. I hope Jeff Hull is on the ball and makes sure the town is covered by its insurance for these fields. Lawrence was facing a possible $875,000 to replace their field. It ended up costing them $388,000 to clean and repair it. They were fortunate that their insurance covered this. I bet their premiums will go up. I hate to think what would happen if the insurance company takes the position that failure on the part of town officials to ban non sports events will exclude coverage. I believe heavy fines should be levied on idiots that bring their mutts on the field.
