WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Sunday, April 23, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 61. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the morning.
#2) We’re One Wilmington is holding its 7th Annual 5K Run For Wilmington & Kim Forte Walk at 11am on the Town Common. Learn more, including how to register, HERE.
#3) The Aleppo Shriners Circus is holding TWO shows at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) TODAY at 1pm and 5pm. Tickets cost $10. Call 1-800-700-0013 to purchase tickets. Tickets will also be available at the Box Office. Parking is free.
#4) The Wilmington-based Merrimack Valley Chorus will be holding its Spring Fling Cabaret! at 2pm in the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Club (777 South Street, Tewksbury). Doors open at 1:30pm. This annual Cabaret features the chorus’s “package” of two songs that will be performed in the upcoming Sweet Adeline’s Region 1 Contest in Springfield, MA in early May. In addition to performing this flawless package, the chorus will feature another short set of songs and seven quartets will also perform. Tickets can be purchased for $10 at the door or $12 in advance. Tickets can be purchased online HERE. Tickets can also be purchased from a member of the chorus.
#5) A yard sale to benefit the American Cancer Society will be held at 51 Aldrich Road, Wilmington from 8am to 2pm. Items for sale include: Home Decor, Kitchen Stuff, Games, DVDs, Kids Clothes, Kids Shoes, Toys, Women’s Clothes, Women’s Shoes, Books, and more. Cookies, brownies and lemonade will also be for sale. Free lemonade with a purchase. All proceeds will benefit the Wilmington/Billerica Relay For Life. The fundraiser is organized by Relay participants from “Team We Believe In Miracles.”
