POLICE LOG for April 4: Car Stolen; Hypodermic Needle Found In Parking Lot

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, April 4, 2017:

  • Police and Fire responded to smell of gas at Yusen Global Logistics Air and Sea Services on Industrial Way.  Building was evacuated. Fire Department shut off gas and thoroughly checked building. (7:01am)
  • Police issued 8 parking citations on MBTA Parking Lot on Main Street. (11:48am)
  • A Lawrence Street caller reported a black BMW was doing donuts in front of her house. Police were unable to locate. (2:45pm)
  • Police issued a citation for marked lanes to the driver of a brown 1999 Toyota Camry on Woburn Street. During a consensual search, a small amount of Class D was found and destroyed. (2:51pm)
  • A caller reported a hypodermic needle in the Big Joe’s parking lot on Main Street. Police retrieved for destruction. (3:00pm)
  • A walk-in party reported his 2001 Chevy Silverado was stolen overnight in Wilmington and involved in an accident in Billerica. (6:47pm)
  • Wilmington Police Officer provided Spanish translation for Woburn Police while they booked a prisoner. (10:43pm)
