POLICE LOG for April 3: Attempted Car Break-In; Car vs. Pole; Citations Issued

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, April 3, 2017:

  • A gray 2007 Toyota Tacoma struck a pole and mailbox on Chestnut Street. RMLD and Verizon were notified. No injuries noted. Vehicle was towed. Driver took a taxi home to Woburn. (7:20am)
  • Police issued a citation to a driver for texting and a child restraint violation. Police gave driver a booster seat for the child. (9:35am)
  • An Aldrich Road caller reported his mailbox was damaged by a vehicle. (10:16am)
  • A walk-in party reported her daughter’s vehicle was attempted to be entered on Hawthorne Road sometime during the early morning hours of Sunday. Damage was done to the vehicle’s locking mechanism. (2:16pm)
  • Police issued 2 speeding citations on Butters Row. (4:43pm, 4:55pm)
  • Police responded to a trash barrel fire at Dunkin Donuts on Ballardvale Street. Employees were able to extinguish. (5:48pm)
