8 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (April 7, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are EIGHT things you need to know in Wilmington for Friday, April 7, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see a chance of showers, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. South wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

#2) Lumari Salon and Spa (10 Middlesex Avenue, Unit 2) is holding its Grand Opening & Open House from 10am to 7pm. There will be an official ribbon cutting with the Town of Wilmington, plus plenty of of food, drinks, raffles and special offers.

#3) The Boston Rodeo Frontier Days will be held on Friday, April 7 at 8pm and Saturday, April 8 at 2pm and 8pm at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road, Wilmington) for the 25th year. There will be pony rides, live bands, mechanical bull rides, hay rides and monster truck rides. A free BBQ Country Fest will be held on both days from 4pm to 7pm. General admission is $30 for adults (13 and up), $10 for children (6-12), with free admission for children (5 and under). #4) The Shawsheen Tech High School PAC is holding a Family Trivia Night at 7:30pm the Tewksbury Knights of Columbus Hall (2068 Main Street). The evening includes a raffle table and a cash bar. Participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks or dinner for their tables. Vendors — including Tupperware, Tastefully Simple, LuLaRose, Scentsy, 31 Gifts, Tewksbury Honey, and more — will be selling from 6pm to 7:30pm. Tickets to the “Stump Trivia Night” cost $20 for adults and $10 for students. This fundraiser will benefit the Shawsheen Tech’s 2017 All-Night Graduation Party. #5) Abundant Life Christian School’s 18th annual Pasta Dinner and Silent Auction will be from 5pm to 7:30pm at the school (173 Church Street). Please consider joining us as we raise money to support the Eighth Grade trip to Washington D.C. in May. The Pasta Dinner has two seatings — one at 5pm and one at 6pm. #6) Analog Devices is hosting its 16th Annual Science and Tech Fair at Wilmington Middle School on Friday, April 7 from 7:30am to 1:40pm.
