POLICE LOG for April 2: Cops Called On Candidate, Car Break-In, Dryer Fire, Theft at Rite Aid

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, April 2, 2017:

  • A Jere Road caller reported receiving threatening phone calls at 1am. (9:10am)
  • Police received multiple calls of an odor of gas at Target on Ballardvale Street. Fire Department responded. (12:50pm)
  • An officer had a conversation with a juvenile over his operation of a bicycle on Route 125. Police spoke with the juvenile’s parent over the phone. (2:10pm)
  • Police advised a few people that the Yentile Farm Recreational Facility’s playground was closed. (3:15pm)
  • A Rite Aid employee reported a theft. Suspect left in a tan Chevy Silverado, with a plow, taking a right onto Main Street towards Tewksbury. (3:35pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a dryer fire on Veranda Avenue. One firefighter was transported to Winchester Hospital for unspecified reason. (4:39pm)
  • A Salem Street caller reported Kevin MacDonald was knocking on his door regarding the election.  Caller asked MacDonald to leave.  Caller believed MacDonald then tried to write down the caller’s license plate number. (6:52pm)
  • An Oakdale Road caller reported his car was broken into overnight and a GPS was stolen. (7:03pm)

  1. Mr. Hayes, Did the police call in the SWAT team for a serious incident like passing out campaign flyers? Do you know if the resident had mental health issues or if he forgot to take his medication? I would also like to know if you are a member of the fake news and dishonest media that our President talks about? I question if this is an attempt to slander a candidate who tells the truth?

  2. Good to know that Kevin MacDonald is a Trump supporter, as if all his other beliefs and outbursts have not shown him to be a good choice for the job.
