10 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (March 30, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things you need to know in Wilmington for Thursday, March 30, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 47. North wind 6 to 8 mph.

#2) The Wilmington middle School Drama Club presents Peter Pan at 7pm in the Wilmington Middle School Auditorium. Tickets are $7 for students and $10 for adults. Additional shows will be held on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm.

#3) Eat at Chili’s in Wilmington (207 Main Street) TODAY from 11am to 11pm and 10% of your bill will be donated to the WHS Lamplighters Drama Guild. Print and present the flyer below before paying.

#4)  The Wilmington-based ‘Heaps For Hope’ will hold its 2nd Annual Fashion Show at 7pm at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue). The fundraiser, organized by The Dirty Doodle and My Sister’s Closet Consignment Shop, will include a fashion show where women walk the runway with their dogs.  Appetizers and dessert will be provided.  Attendees can take some chances at the raffle table as well. Tickets cost $25, with all proceeds benefiting Heaps of Hope, a foundation helping women who are financially-strapped fight cancer.

#5) Wilmington School Committee candidate Jenn Bryson is holding a ‘Meet & Greet’ event at Panera Bread (228 Main Street, Wilmington) from 9am to 10am.

#6) Red Heat Tavern (300 Lowell Street) is hosting live music with April Renzella at 8pm.

#7) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding TWO programs today:

  • Crafternoons: Suminagshi (3:45pm-4:45pm)
  • Birds of the New England Swamp (7pm)

#8) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding some of its typical Thursday activities:

  • Computer Class (9:15am)
  • Art Class (10am)
  • Aerobics (10:30am)
  • Knitting/Crocheting (11am)
  • Game Day (1pm)

#10) REMINDER: It’s ‘Food For Fines’ Month at the Wilmington Memorial Library! Bring in non-perishable food items and your fines will be waived. Food will be donated to the Wilmington Food Pantry.
