POLICE LOG for March 17: OUI Arrest After Man Found Passed Out Behind Wheel; Car vs. Guard Rail

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, March 17, 2017:

  • Police arrested Matthew Furlong (29, Wilmington) for open and gross lewdness. (10:10am) [Read more HERE.]
  • A Morse Avenue caller reported receiving a scam call.  A male party with a heavy accent claimed to be from the U.S. Government and had money for the caller. When caller asked to stop calling, man started using foul language. (1:28pm)
  • A caller reported a treadmill was left in the roadway on Lime Street. Treadmill was moved into a snowbank and was no longer an issue. (2:36pm)
  • Enoch Mayfields (48, Warwick, RI) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. Mayfields was involved in a 2-car crash at Sonny’s Mobil on the Run on Lowell Street. (2:43pm)
  • A missing juvenile was reported from Milestone Group Home on High Street. (4:36pm)
  • A black 2004 Lexus struck a guardrail on Wildwood Street near the cemetery. Vehicle was towed. No injuries. DPW notified for damage to guardrail. (5:46pm)
  • Richard J. Dillon (47, Lawrence) was arrested for an OUI Liquor (2nd Offense). Driver was found passed out in driver’s seat at intersection of Middlesex Avenue and High Street. (10:46pm)
