POLICE LOG for March 15: Wilmington Man Arrested For 3rd OUI; 2 Teen Girls Steal Tip Jar

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, March 15, 2017:

  • A gray 2005 Chrysler Town and Country got stuck on the train tracks near Eastern Bank. Police notified Keolis. Vehicle was eventually cleared from tracks. (5:15am)
  • Police issued a written warning to a driver for failure to remove snow from the windshield. (1:17pm)
  • A brown 2008 Honda Civic, black 2004 Chevy Silverado and 2004 Honda Accord were involved in a crash at Lowell Street and Strout Avenue. No injuries noted. 1 airbag deployment. 2 vehicle towed. Police issued a citation to one driver for operating a vehicle after a license revocation. (3:18pm)
  • An employee from Milestone Group Home on High Street reported two juveniles just walked off the property. (4:48pm)
  • A tree fell onto a vehicle on Horseshoe Lane, damaging the trunk and back window. (6:38pm)
  • Two juvenile females stole the tip jar from Wilmington House of Pizza on Main Street and took off on foot.  [No further details provided, but it appears both unnamed juveniles were eventually arrested.] (6:40pm)
  • Michael V. Zarrella (57, Wilmington) was arrested for an OUI Liquor (3rd Offense); Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle; Marked Lanes Violation; and Speeding. Zarrella struck a stone wall and got stuck in a snowbank at Mink Run Road and Hopkins Street. (11:28pm)
