WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIFTEEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, March 14, 2017:
- A plow driver reported a sewer grate was completely lifted off and left open near Greg’s Roast Beef on Main Street. Mass Highway and DPW notified. (12:54pm)
- Police received tree debris from the roadway on Burlington Avenue. (2:43pm)
- Police covered an open manhole on Woburn Street. (2:44pm)
- Police received report of a fallen tree taking down wires on Park Street. Police notified RMLD. (3:22pm)
- Police received report that a tree branch snapped, scraping cars beneath it on Concord Street. (3:34pm)
- A fallen tree struck a home on Auburn Avenue, leaving a hole in the roof. House was deemed structurally sound. (3:57pm)
- Police received report that a tree fell in a Brentwood Avenue yard and took wires down. (3:58pm)
- A Royal Street caller reported his neighbor was plowing snow from the street into his driveway. Caller claimed it’s been an ongoing issue. Police responded and spoke with both parties. (4:13pm)
- Live wires fell from a West Street home. RMLD was notified. (4:14pm)
- A fallen tree took down wires across the roadway on Chapman Avenue. Police notified RMLD and DPW. (4:22pm)
- Police responded to wires sparking and a small fire on top of pole on Brattle Street. (4:28pm)
- A caller reported her mother is receiving scam calls from a business coming up on caller ID as “Lifeline Ambulance.” Number came back to a telemarketer group, “QuinStreet.” (5:57pm)
- A transformer blew on Church Street. RMLD notified. (5:58pm)
- Police received an American flag from a snapped flagpole at Meineke Muffler on Main Street. (6:14pm)
- A green 2008 Mazda drove off the road and was towed. (7:04pm)
