POLICE LOG for March 9: Wind Wreaks Havoc; Relatively Quiet Day For WPD

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, March 9, 2017:

  • A State Street caller reported a bird or animal in her chimney. Animal Control Officer could not locate any animal. (7:08am)
  • Police reported a boat became lose and was sitting on the shore of Silver Lake near 52 Main Street. DPW tracked down owner on Lake Street, who retrieved boat. (8:16am)
  • A caller reported a tree came down and was blocking the road on Fairmeadow Road. Police notified DPW and Reading Light. (9:45am)
  • Police issued a handicap parking citation at CVS. (10:08am)
  • DPW reported low hanging wires on Burlington Avenue. Police notified Verizon. (2:28pm)
  • A caller reported a female in a silver VW Bug in the Colonial Mall parking lot was visibly agitated. Caller was concerned for her well-being. Police responded. Female had a dispute with her son, who has left on foot. Peace was restored. (5:00pm)
