5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (March 14, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see snow, mainly after 7am. The snow could be heavy at times. Areas of blowing snow after 11am. High near 30. Windy, with a northeast wind 11 to 21 mph increasing to 21 to 31 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 11 to 17 inches possible.

#2) Due to the snow storm, residential trash and recycle collection will be delayed by one day. Tuesday’s collection will be on Wednesday, Wednesday’s collection will be on Thursday…and so on, ending with Friday’s collection occurring on Saturday. If you have any questions, please call the Wilmington DPW at 658-4481.

#3) Aside from the Wilmington Public Safety Building and DPW, town offices are CLOSED due to the storm.

#4) Wilmington Public Schools, Shawsheen Tech, and Abundant Life are CLOSED due to the snow storm.

#5) Various Wilmington community and school events have been POSTPONED due to the weather.
