WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things you need to know in Wilmington for Saturday, March 11, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be partly sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 20. Wind chill values as low as -4. Breezy, with a west wind 17 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph.
#2) Wilmington residents are invited to attend a special St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue) TONIGHT. Doors open at 6:30pm. Dinner begins at 7:30pm. The party features a concert from the Andy Healy Show Band, a performance from the Heavey-Quinn Academy of Irish Step Dancers, and a Red and Grey Corn Beef and Cabbage Dinner. #3) The second day of the 3-day WZLX Eastern Mass Truck Show will be from 10am to 5pm at Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) in Wilmington. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for teens (13-17). Kids (12 and under) are FREE.The show will feature all the major light- and medium-duty makes and models, including Ram, GMC, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Nissan. Learn more HERE.
#4) Wilmington School Committee candidate Jenn Bryson is holding a ‘Meet & Greet’ event from 8am to 10am at Panera Bread (228 Main Street, Wilmington). Wilmington voters are invited to come chat with Jenn in the restaurant’s back room. Jenn welcomes questions and looks forward to speaking with residents about her campaign. Free coffee and bagels. #5) State Representative Ken Gordon (D-Bedford), who represents Precinct 3 in Wilmington as well as all of Burlington and Bedford, is hosting OFfice Hours from 9am to 10am at the True North Coffee (204 Cambridge Street) in Burlington. Representative Gordon will be available to answer questions and to listen to concerns and ideas from constituents of the district. #6) Pacific Grove (211 Lowell Street) is hosting Karaoke from Winnell Entertainment at 8pm.
