RMLD To Close 2 Payment Drop Boxes In Wilmington

READING, MA — After careful consideration, the RMLD will be closing the payment drop boxes at the following Reading Cooperative Bank branches: 180 Haven St., Reading, 170 Park St., North Reading, 230 Lowell St., Wilmington and 352 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington. This change will take effect April 1, 2017.

RMLD recognizes the importance of customer convenience and continually seeks to balance this with the cost efficiency of RMLD operations. The RMLD has decided to discontinue these particular drop boxes due to their extremely low use rate. On the other hand, customers are increasingly using online bill payment; a savings passed on to all of our customers.

The following payment drop box locations will remain open:

  • New England Beverage and Redemption Center – 158 Main Street, North Reading (available 24/7)
  • RMLD Offices – 230 Ash Street, Reading (available 24/7)
  • Reading Town Hall – 16 Lowell Street, Reading (available 24/7)
  • Lucci’s Supermarket – 223 Lowell Street, Wilmington (available during Lucci’s store hours)

(NOTE: The above press release is from RMLD.)
