WILMINGTON, MA — When Wilmington voters go to the polls next month, they will have some decisions to make.
The Town Clerk’s Office finished certifying nomination papers on Monday and it’s now official — Wilmington will see contested races for both School Committee and Board of Selectmen.
SIX candidates are running for TWO seats on the Wilmington School Committee:
- Stephen Bjork (incumbent)
- Jennifer Bryson
- Sabrina Hewitt
- Amy Largenton
- Rhonda Musikar-Rosner
- Kathleen O’Donoghue
(Incumbent Ginny Bonish is not seeking re-election. Potential candidate Jesse Fennelly did not return nomination papers prior to Friday’s filing deadline.)
THREE candidates are running for TWO seats on the Wilmington Board of Selectmen:
- Ed Loud
- Kevin MacDonald
- Mike McCoy (incumbent)
(Incumbent Judy O’Connell is not seeking re-election. Potential candidates Christopher Dawson, Jason Kennedy and Mark Nelson did not return nomination papers prior to Friday’s filing deadline.)
Housing Authority member Stacie Murphy will be running for re-election unopposed.
There is no race this election cycle for Town Moderator or Shawsheen Tech School Committee.
The Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Polls will be open from 8am to 8pm.
The last day to register to vote for the Town Election is Monday, April 3, 2017.
