POLICE LOG for March 2: Car Strikes Home; N.H. Man Arrested; Blind Date Leads To 911 Call

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, March 2, 2017:

  • Wilmington Police assisted North Reading Police in attempting to arrest a man for failure to register as a sex offender. Police located man at Jimmy’s Garage on Main Street. (5:56am)
  • Police issued 4 speeding citations on Carter Lane. (7:30am-8:54am)
  • A tree fell onto the garage at the Harnden Tavern on Salem Street. No apparent damage done. (10:54am)
  • Police issued 9 parking citations in the MBTA Parking Lot on Main Street. (12:54pm)
  • Town employees requested police escort four youths out of Town Hall for causing a disturbance. (3:30pm)
  • A vehicle parked in the driveway of 10 Fiorenza Drive, rolled into and through the yard of 8 Fiorenza Drive, and struck the foundation of the home at 6 Fiorenza Drive. (3:54pm)
  • Man reported he was at Golden Ginger with a woman on a blind date when the woman started yelling and causing a disturbance. Police responded and spoke with restaurant staff, who confirmed the disturbance.  Woman had since left. (8:32pm)
  • Jonathan Rivera (29, Nashua) was arrested on warrants. Rivera was in a single car accident on Research Drive. (11:52pm)
