POLICE LOG for February 26: Hit & Run; Windshield Cracked; Drunk Uber Passenger

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are FIVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, February 26, 2017:

  • An uber driver stated he dropped off an intoxicated male at a Pinewood Road home, but was worried the male did not immediately enter the house. The driver called back, stating the male finally entered the house. Police responded and found the neighborhood quiet. (12:41am)
  • A caller reported that approximately 30 minutes ago, an occupant in a passing red Jeep Wrangler threw something the driver’s side rear of the vehicle, striking her windshield and causing a crack. Caller provided the license plate number. Police spoke with the Wrangler’s owner. Owner’s daughter was driving the vehicle at the time and agreed to restitution. (12:50pm)
  • A caller found a broken insulin pen in the parking lot of Villanova Hall. Police retrieved for destruction. (1:17pm)
  • A black 2015 Chevy Cruze and a gray 2004 Cadillac de Ville were involved in a crash on Nichols Street. Cruze operator said the de Ville fled the scene after the accident. Billerica Police caught up with the de Ville operator at their home.  It was determined the accident happened in Billerica.  Billerica Police to handle. (4:40pm)
  • Fire Department responded to an oven fire on Radcliff Road. (7:36pm)
