Wilmington-Based Touchstone Federal Credit Union To Merge With Hanscom Federal Credit Union

HANSCOM AFB, MA — The members of Touchstone FCU approved a merger with Hanscom FCU. The decision was made by vote and was announced February 16. The merger will be effective April 1, 2017.

Touchstone FCU, with offices in Wilmington, MA and at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA, was founded in 1957. It serves employees and retirees at Textron Systems, Mount Auburn Hospital, and other affiliated organizations. Touchstone FCU has $17 million in assets.

Touchstone FCU will continue to operate as a separate entity until the integration of the systems is completed later in 2017. Hanscom FCU intends to retain the two Touchstone FCU offices and staff. Touchstone FCU Board Chairman Ray Kahre has agreed to serve on the Hanscom FCU Advisory Board.
