POLICE LOG for February 16: Uber Involved In Crash; 16 Parking Tickets Issued In MBTA Lot

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT of highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, February 16, 2017:

  • RMLD reported it received several calls from residents saying a large tree fell on Dunton Road, blocking the roadway. Wires were tangled up with the tree.  Police notified RMLD, Verizon, and the Wilmington DPW (Tree Department). Roadway was eventually cleared. (6:19am)
  • Police noticed the school zone sign after the Wildwood School was knocked down by a plow and laying in the snow. Police notified DPW. (8:46am)
  • Police issued 16 parking citations in the MBTA Parking Lot on Main Street. (11:51am)
  • A white 2012 Dodge Ram and a black 2004 Jeep Wrangler were involved in a crash on Burlington Avenue. No injuries noted. (2:24pm)
  • A yellow 2003 Chevy Express and a red 2015 Chrysler Town & Country were involved in a crash at Route 38 and Border Avenue. The Town & Country was acting as an Uber, transporting juveniles to their aunt’s house. Aunt took them into custody unharmed. No injuries. (3:02pm)
  • Amanda Renee Robichaud (25, Wilmington) was placed into protective custody after a caller was concerned for her well-being over her slurred speech. (4:32pm)
  • A walk-in party reported his iPad was stolen. (4:52pm)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout at Triton Car Wash. (10:23pm)
