WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Thursday, February 16, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, snow showers are likely in Wilmington, mainly before 7am. Cloudy, with a high near 34. Northwest wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
#2) The American Red Cross is conducting a blood drive from 2pm to 7pm at the Wilmington Congregational Church (220 Middlesex Avenue). Interested donors can call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to book an appointment, but walk-ins ARE welcome.
#3) Wilmington Public Schools is hosting informational meetings to discuss the Preschool/Kindergarten registration process, a program overview, information screening process and programs/services provided by Special Education. The meetings will take place simultaneously at both the Boutwell Early Childhood Center and Wildwood Early Childhood Center. Preschool parents will meet at 6pm. Kindergarten parents will meet at 6:30pm.
#4) The Wilmington Recreation Commission meets at 5pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.

#6) The Wilmington Finance Committee will be holding a budget hearing at 7pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.
#7) Rocco’s Restaurant & Bar (193 Main Street) is hosting live music with Larry Gilbert at 6pm.
#8) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding three programs today:
- Concert: Harpist Rebecca Swett (2:30pm-4pm)
- Crafternoons: Wire Jewelry (3:45pm)
- Novel Ideas: Fiction Book Group (7pm-8:30pm)
