5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (February 15, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 5 things you need to know in Wilmington for Wednesday, February 15, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see snow likely before 11am, then rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 37. Southeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

#2) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE programs today:

  • Once Upon A Yoga Mat (10am)
  • Star Mag (3:45pm)
  • Jeannie Mack Winter Songfest (6:30pm)

#3) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities:

  • Craft Class (9am)
  • SBF Exercise (9:45am)
  • Special Exercise (11am)
  • Country Line Dancing (1pm)
  • Gentle Yoga (3:45pm)

#4) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.

#5) Several Wilmington High School sports teams are in action today:

  • 2:30 pm — BOYS JV Ice Hockey vs North Reading (at Ristuccia)
  • 6:00 pm — GIRLS Varsity Ice Hockey Stoneham
  • 8:00 pm — BOYS Varsity Ice Hockey vs Stoneham (at Ristuccia)

PLUS: Wilmington High School is holding its annual ‘Program of Studies Night’ at 6pm in the WHS Auditorium.
