WILMINGTON, MA — Here are ELEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, February 7, 2017:
- A gray 2012 Mazda struck two mailboxes on Nichols Street. No injuries. Vehicle towed. (3:03am)
- An SUV and a flatbed truck were involved in a crash on Ballardvale Street. Police notified DPW to sand the area. Everyone onscene refused medical attention. (11:06am)
- A caller reported a Cunningham Street resident threw snow at a plow truck. Police spoke with the plow truck driver, who confirmed the incident. Police spoke with the resident in question and advised them of the town’s snow removal ordinances. Resident was not cooperative. (1:04pm)
- Manager at Panera Bread reported receiving a possible counterfeit bill. (2:08pm)
- A plow truck, possibly contracted by the town, struck a National Grid work truck that was parked near the Wilmington/Andover town line. Andover DPW did not believe the plow belonged to them. (2:40pm)
- Police had a vehicle towed that was blocking in another vehicle in the MBTA Parking Lot on Main Street. (3:05pm)
- Police issued 4 parking tickets in the MBTA Parking Lot. (3:45pm)
- A blue 2002 Honda Civic and a black 2011 Chevy Equinox were involved in a crash on Chestnut Street. One of the cars struck a pole and flipped over. No injuries noted. Street shut down. RMLD notified and responded. (4:53pm)
- A gray 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander struck a pole at Adams Street and Middlesex Avenue. No injury noted. Vehicle towed. RMLD notified. (8:48pm)
- Police notified DPW of overall slippery road conditions around town. DPW to send out sanders. (10:22pm)
- A plow struck a black 2009 Chevy Impala parked in a lot on Bay Street. (11:22pm)
