WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Wednesday, February 8, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see a chance of showers, mainly before 7am. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
#2) The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7pm at Wilmington High School (Large Instruction Room). Read the agenda HERE.
#3) The Wilmington Board of Appeals is scheduled to meet at 7pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.
#4) The Wilmington Knights of Columbus is holding its annual Basketball Free Throw Tournament in the Wilmington High School Gymnasium (159 Church Street). Registration begins at 6:30pm. The contest starts at 7pm. All Wilmington boys and girls, ages 9 to 14, are invited to participate. #5) The Northside PAC is holding a “Dining For A Cause” fundraiser at the Ninety Nine Restaurant (144 Lowell Street) on Wednesday, February 8, from 4pm to 11pm. 15% of your bill will be donated to the Parent Advisory Council if you present this flyer to your server/host. The donation applies to both dine-on AND take-out orders. No coupons, discounts or promotions are accepted during the fundraiser.
