POLICE LOG for February 4: 3 Mailboxes Damaged; Hit & Run; Water Issues

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, February 4, 2017:

  • A Brand Avenue caller reported a gallon-type jug with a yellow liquid was placed next to her mailbox. Police advised homeowner it was not a hazard. (7:07am)
  • 2 mailboxes on Lawrence Street were vandalized overnight. (7:08am)
  • A Middlesex Avenue resident reporting having water flowing into her basement. Police notified the Water Department. (8:47am)
  • A hit & run occurred between two vehicles on Route 62, near the 93 North Exit 40 on-ramp. One vehicle, described as a maroon Chevy Tahoe with possible passenger side damage, got onto highway. Police did not locate. (10:49am)
  • A Marion Street resident reported their mailbox was damaged overnight. (12:40pm)
  • A Benson Road caller reported his tap water was brown. Police notified the Water Department. (4:19pm)
  • A caller reported a female in a black Ford Taurus in front of Wilmington Plaza Wine & Spirits injected an unknown substance into her arm. Police responded and located the woman entering TJ Maxx.  Woman checked OK. (8:50pm)
