WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, January 29, 2017:
- Police reported a struck deer on Shawsheen Avenue. (1:06am)
- Police observed a vehicle in the parking lot on Industrial Way with a man ducking down inside. Police investigated. Man is homeless and living out of vehicle. He checked OK and will be spending the night there. (1:26am)
- Police received report of a mailbox damaged overnight on North Street, possibly struck with a bat. (10:09am)
- A walk-in party reported a gas pump at Shell Station may have been tampered with. Police responded and noted only a small tear at the bottom of the seal. No tampering. (12:53pm)
- A caller reported finding bones while hiking near Richmond Street bridge. Police responded. Bones appeared to be animal remains. (4:57pm)
- Police noted signs of homelessness/overnight camping under the Richomd Street bridge. (5:16pm)
- Robert K. McCarthy (50, North Billerica) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense). He was pulled over near the Shawsheen School on Shawsheen Avenue. (7:29pm)
