Writing Group *RR

If you love to write and seek feedback, then join our writing group. When registering, please provide your email address so you can receive an agenda and any prep materials in advance. Open to all genres and levels. Led by local writing enthusiast, Barbara Alevras.
History of the Lowell Boat Shop *RR

Located on the bank of the Merrimac River in Amesbury, MA, Lowell’s Boat Shop is a working museum and National Historic Landmark as the oldest continuously working boat shop in the United States. Established in 1793 by Simeon Lowell, the Shop continues to produce dories and skiffs in the Lowell tradition. Our “Dory Story” extends through every phase of American history including the role we play today in education and preservation.
Cookin’ the Books *RR

Featured Cookbook: Portuguese Homestyle Cooking or Authentic Portuguese Cooking by Ana Patuleia Ortins
Not only will we cook from Ana’s cookbooks but she will join us at the meeting and give us some tips and ideas for our next cooking adventure. If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you. Pick up a copy of the cookbook (or find a recipe from the book online) and email your recipe selection to leader Lisa Crispin (lcrispin@wilmlibrary.org). Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes!
Alternatives to Cable *RR

Are you tired of having 100s of channels but not finding anything good to watch? Come join technology librarian, Brad McKenna, as he presents alternatives to cable such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. While not all are free, the alternatives could save you quite a bit of money every month.
Totally 80’s Trivia *RR

Flashback to the 80’s in this joint event with Reading & Wilmington libraries! Celebrate this totally radical decade with trivia, snacks & fun! Come dressed in your best throwback outfit (optional). Prizes awarded! Registration required.

Teen Trivia Tuesdays *RR
Tuesday, February 7, 6:30 pm
Show us your smarts at pub-style trivia! Play against your parents and friends, putting your pop culture knowledge to the test. The winning team walks off with prizes (and bragging rights!). Snacks are provided. Grades 6 -12.
Read to Zoey, the Listening Labrador *RR
Wednesday, February 8, 6:30-7:30 pm
Zoey is a great listener who loves to have kids of all ages read to her and improve their reading skills. Zoey has been certified as a therapy dog by the Pets & People Foundation. Please call 978-694-2098 to sign up for a 15-minute session.
Drop-in Storytime
Friday, February 10, 10:00 am
Drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft! Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Ages 3-5 and one or more adults.
Baby Times
Saturday, February 11, 9:30 am
Babies and their caregivers will enjoy this fun storytime that includes rhymes, songs, books, scarves, shakers, bubbles and more. Infants through 24 month.
Dads and Donuts
Saturday, February 11. 10:30 am
Dads and their kids ages two and up are invited to drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and more. Moms, grandparents and other caregivers are welcome, too! Ages 2-5 and one or more adults.
