WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TWELVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, January 21, 2017:
- A blue 2001 Ford Explorer struck a light pole at Shawsheen Avenue and Lake Street. Police notified Public Buildings. (5:17am)
- A Lawrence Street caller reported their house was struck by paintballs sometime overnight. (9:24am)
- Police later responded and found three additional homes on Lawrence Street that were struck by paintballs. (12:08pm, 12:11pm, 12:12pm)
- A caller reported extra patrols overnight on Wilton Drive due to scratches on his vehicle and gas possibly being siphoned from his vehicle. (12:59pm)
- An Adams Street homeowner reported finding a BB hole in her front window. The hole occurred sometime over the past week. (1:39pm)
- A caller reported empty glass bottles in the courts at the Shawsheen School. One bottle was shattered. (4:38pm)
- Ujjwal Bistsa (33, Brooklyn, NY) was issued a summons for the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. (5:31pm)
- A walk-in party reported she struck a bicyclist at Bond Street and Shawsheen Avenue with her Ford Explorer. (7:28pm)
- Charles A. Quinton (54, Wilmington) was issued a summons for having an uninsured motor vehicle and the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. (9:59pm)
- Mario G. Porrata (34, Roxbury) was placed in protective custody. (10:04pm)
- Police received report of 6 juveniles playing basketball in the high school outdoor court, with the lights off and trash on the court. Youth were leaving as police arrived. (11:35pm)
- Michael McCormack (23, Billerica) was arrested for OUI Liquor, Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle, Marked Lanes Violation, and Speeding. His blue 2001 Volkswagen Jetta went through a guard rail on Shawsheen Avenue and wound up on its roof in a gulley. (11:43pm)
