WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, January 23 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.
There is a lot on the agenda, including:
- Reading Municipal Light Department’s General Manager Coleen O’Brien will provided the Board of Selectmen with a thorough update of her organization’s actions over the past year.
- Town Manager Jeff Hull will update the Board of Selectmen on the latest regarding the Mary DeLai separation agreement. Selectmen recently received a less redacted copy of the agreement.
- Selectmen will decide how to respond to an unspecified Open Meeting Law complaint. (It’s unclear if this is in regards to the DeLai separation agreement or a separate matter altogether.)
- Selectmen will discuss whether to take a position, per Selectman McCoy’s urging, on an anticipated bill by State Senator James Eldridge involving state law enforcement and illegal immigration.
- Selectmen will review a request from Jack Cushing to sponsor an article on the 2017 Annual Town Meeting warrant to name the Wilmington High School gym in memory of Lawrence H. Cushing, Sr.
- Selectmen will consider the request of Julie Rauseo, Relay for Life Community Manager, to light the Town Common purple for the month of May.
- Selectmen will consider ratifying the appointment of Megan E. Delehanty Coslick to the Wilmington Historical Commission.
The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV-G — Channel 22 on Comcast and Channel 38 on Verizon. The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
