WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 7 things you need to know in Wilmington for Wednesday, January 18, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see rain, mainly before 11am. High near 42. Northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
#2) The Wilmington Wildcat Band Parents and Friends Association is holding a “Dining For A Cause” fundraiser at the Ninety Nine Restaurant (144 Lowell Street) from 4pm to 11pm. 15% of your bill will be donated to the WHS Bands if you present this flyer to your server/host. The donation applies to both dine-on AND take-out orders. No coupons, discounts or promotions are accepted during the fundraiser.
#3) The Shawsheen Tech is holding its 8th Grade Career Night from 6pm to 8pm. The event will feature information on admissions, the school’s 20 vocational-technical programs, academics, athletics and extracurricular activities. Learn more HERE.

- Craft Class (9am)
- SBF Exercise (9:45am)
- Special Exercise (11am)
- Country Line Dancing (1pm)

#6) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.
