POLICE LOG for January 7: A Parent’s Nightmare; Hit & Run; 12-Year-Old Tries To Ride Snowmobile In Street

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINEhighlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, January 7, 2017:

  • Gloria Granda Holmes (49, Lowell) was taken into protective custody from the parking lot at Winchester Family Medical Center on Salem Street. (12:45am)
  • A vehicle struck a guardrail on Route 125 and Ballardvale Street. State Police notified and will handle. (5:27am)
  • A caller reported a hit & run with no airbag deployment. No injuries noted.  Minor damage done to driver’s side panel. A green SUV struck a black 2008 Honda Civic at Glen Road and Middlesex Avenue. Police unable to locate vehicle. (1:49pm)
  • A caller lost her gold iPhone 6 yesterday while walking her dog in the Glen Road area. (2:24pm)
  • A town plow reported a residence on Ledgewood Road was blocking the roadway with his van and trash cans.  This has been a longstanding issue.  Police responded and had resident move vehicle. (3:12pm)
  • A truck and three cars were doing “donuts” in the snow on Research Drive, near the water tower. Police sent them on their way. (5:20pm)
  • A caller reported he was assaulted by his girlfriend in the Target parking lot, who has since left. Police responded and took a report. (5:57pm)
  • Police stopped a 12-year-old from operating a snowmobile in the roadway on Carter Lane. (7:40pm)
  • A caller reported she discovered her daughter sent nude pictures to an unknown party online. Police took a report. (9:02pm)
