OBITUARY: Ann Theresa (Donovan) Sullivan, 74

KINGSTON, NH — Ann Theresa (Donovan) Sullivan, 74, of Kingston NH, and formerly of Wilmington, Massachusetts, died Monday January 9, 2017, at Exeter Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Medford MA, and attended St. Clement Grammar, and subsequent High School class of 1960. Ann graduated from Northeastern University with a BA in Sociology and was employed as the Administrative Assistant to the Town of Kingston Selectmen, where she would retire after more than 20 years of faithful service.

Ann was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Fitzgerald) Donovan, and is survived by her sister Mary Donovan of Medford, MA. Her faith in God, and membership at St Luke the Evangelist Parish at Mary Mother of the Church, Newton, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society was evidenced by the Christ-filled life she lived.  She leaves her loving husband Peter J Sullivan, three sons Peter and his wife Katya of Manchester, Kevin of Plaistow, Michael and his wife Sara of Dover, daughter Kathleen Sullivan and her husband Jeffery Renner of Derry, grandson Theodore Sullivan, and best friend Mary MacDonald of Woburn MA., along with many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Ann was an avid reader, and voraciously enjoyed books when she wasn’t busy making delicious meals and baked goods for her appreciative family and friends. Ann was often lovingly called the “Neighborhood Mom” and often surrounded by many of her children’s friends during their formative years. A Cub Scout Leader, Ann was always ready to lend herself to participating in a number of volunteer organizations as a PTA Volunteer, and a CCD Teacher. A vigorous sense of humor, she was adored by many.

Family and friends may call on Friday, January 13th, 2017 from 4 to 8:00 pm at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street Plaistow, NH. Her Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m at St.Luke the Evangelist at Mary Mother of the Church, Newton NH.  followed by her burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston NH.
