Transparency In Action: Follow The Town Budget Process

WILMINGTON, MA — Below is the schedule established by the Wilmington Finance Committee to review departmental fiscal year 2018 proposed budgets.

With the exception of Tuesday, February 28, all of the meetings will be held in Room 9 at the Wilmington Town Hall.

Meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:00pm. Departmental reviews are scheduled to take place in the order listed.

Tuesday, January 31

  • FY 18 Budget Overview; Information Technology, Revenue; General Government, including debt service, unclassified, statutory charges, Insurance accounts and miscellaneous

Thursday, February 2

  • Planning & Conservation
  • Building Inspector/Board of Appeals
  • Board of Health

Tuesday, February 7

  • Department of Public Works including Water and Sewer Divisions
  • Public Buildings

Thursday, February 16

  • Police Department
  • Public Safety Central Dispatch
  • Fire Department

Tuesday, February 21

  • Veterans’ Services
  • Town Clerk
  • Historical Commission

Thursday, February 23

  • Shawsheen Technical School District

Tuesday, February 28 (at Wilmington Memorial Library)

  • Recreation Department
  • Public Library
  • Elderly Services

Thursday, March 2

  • Wilmington Public Schools

Tuesday, March 21 (in Town Hall Auditorium)

  • Joint Public Hearing with Planning Board to Review Warrant Articles

Additional Finance Committee meetings may be held as necessary.
