Movie Night: The Girl on the Train *RR
Tuesday, January 17, 6:30 pm
Based on the popular novel by Paula Hawkins, the movie stars Emily blunt and Haley Bennett. Rated R. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Musical Stylings of John Muratore *RR
Thursday, January 19, 2:30 pm
Guitarist John Muratore on will perform unique arrangements of Italian music, Argentine tangos, and original compositions.  Don’t miss this afternoon of beautiful music! Presented in partnership with the Buzzell Senior Center.

Novel Ideas: Fiction Book Group*RR
Thursday, January 19, 7 pm
Featured Book: Black Rabbit Hall by Eve Chase

Book Talkin’ with Eileen MacDougall 6:30-7pm. Great way to learn about new books!
Enjoy reading fiction? Join the library’s fiction book group led by Adult Services Librarian, Kim Rowley. Please stop by the library to pick up a copy of the featured book. Book groups are a wonderful way to expand your reading interests and meet others in the community.

Wilmington Networkers: Have You Checked Your Map Lately?*RR
Monday, January 23, 10 am
Having an accurate map to navigate to your destination is a clear plus. If you are not getting the results you want, just being persistent and trying harder is not enough—you may need a new map. Tom McDonough, a career coach from Appia, will help you explore insights from mindfulness, neuroscience and performance research that can increase your well-being and resilience and help you navigate the correct path.

Drop in to help create this magazine written by, for and about kids, and published by the library.  Bring in finished, original artwork, puzzles, poems, comics, jokes, or create it while you are here. Grades 3-5

Create embossed and stamped cards. It’s not too early to get ready for Valentine’s Day! Grades 4-8

Dads and Donuts

Dads and their kids ages two and up are invited to drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and more.  Moms, grandparents and other caregivers are welcome, too! Ages 2-5 and one or more adults

Fairy Tale and Writing Workshop with MarcyKate Connolly *RR
Saturday, January 21, 1-3
MarcyKate Connolly, author of Monstrous and Ravenous will present a workshop on fairy tales and how they have evolved in modern literature.  She will also cover the writing process from the initial idea to drafting and the revision process. Grades 4-8 

Library News

Book Store Next Door Winter Hours
The Book Store Next Door is open Saturdays 10am to 4 pm. Closed Wednesdays January and February.  After you have enjoyed reading any gift books received for the holidays, please consider donating them to the Book Store Next Door. All proceeds benefit the library.

Holiday Hours
The library will be closed Monday, January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
