POLICE LOG for December 31: Trespasser Caught In Act; Summons Issued; Abandoned Bicycle

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, December 31, 2016:

  • A Bailey Road resident reported seeing someone fleeing her property when her dog started parking. Person is now sitting in a gray 2010 Mazda SE at the end of her driveway with the lights off.  Police responded and advised the man in the vehicle not to trespass, and sent him on his way. (12:59am)
  • Romero Cesar DeCarvalho (38, Wilmington) was issued a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. DeCarvalho was pulled over on Shawsheen Avenue. (2:10am)
  • A caller reported dirt bikes operating in area of Border Avenue. Police were unable to locate. (1:27pm)
  • Police received a report of a brown 2006 Honda CRV parked in a handicap space at Pacific Grove on Lowell Street without a handicap placard. Police responded and noticed the placard had fallen off the mirror. Checked OK. (5:13pm)
  • Police located a purple Schwinn bicycle on the North Intermediate School’s bike rack. DPW reports it has been there for over a week. (6:48pm)
  • Police received call that a red 2008 Ford Mustang drove over an Aldrich Road lawn and hit a rock wall.  Police notified Billerica PD of ice patch on Cook Street by the town line. Vehicle was operable and driver was sent on his way. Homeowner will retrieve copy of report during the week. (10:28pm)
