TOWN ELECTION NEWS: 5 Seats Up For Grabs, Nomination Papers Now Available

WILMINGTON, MA — Interested in running for a seat on the Board of Selectmen, School Committee or Housing Authority this year?

Nomination papers are now available in the Town Clerk’s Office.  Papers, with at least 50 valid signatures from Wilmington voters, are due back to the Town Clerk by Thursday, March 2.

The Wilmington Town Clerk’s Office, located at Town Hall, is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

The following seats will be up for grabs in this year’s election:

  • 2 three-year Board of Selectmen seats (currently held by Mike McCoy and Judy O’Connell)
  • 2 three-year School Committee seats (currently held by Steve Bjork and Ginny Bonish)
  • 1 five-year Housing Authority seat (currently held by Stacie Murphy)

There is NO seat up on the Shawsheen Tech School Committee this year.

The Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017.  Polls will be open from 8am to 8pm.
