POLICE LOG for December 23: 2 Drivers Issued Summons; Water Main Break

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, December 23, 2016:

  • Police assisted a disabled motor vehicle that ran out of gas in front of Greg’s Roast Beef on Main Street. (10:14am)
  • Police filled in for the crossing guard at the Wilmington Middle School. (10:34am)
  • A resident reported a yellow dirt bike speeding in the area of Border Avenue. Police were unable to locate. (3:10pm)
  • An anonymous caller reported two cars were parked in the driveway of a vacant house on Clark Street. Police responded. Situation checked OK. A real estate agent was showing the house to potential buyer. (4:14pm)
  • Fire Department transported a female who was making self-threatening statements at Cumberland Farms on Main Street. (5:02pm)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout at Elia’s Country Store on Middlesex Avenue. (5:09pm)
  • Cary M. Lord (46, Burlington) was issued a summons for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to keep right for oncoming motor vehicle, and speeding. Lord drove his car into a ditch on Marion Street, striking a mailbox. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. (5:36pm)
  • Police notified the Water Department and Fire Department of a water main break on Grave Drive. (9:40pm)
  • Matthew Ryan Caruso (20, Wilmington) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, motor vehicle lights violation, and a miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation. Caruso was pulled over near the Wilmington United Methodist Church on Church Street. (11:42pm)
