POLICE LOG for December 21: Intoxicated Man At Chili’s Taken Into Custody; Shoplifter At CVS

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, December 21, 2016:

  • A female shoplifter was confronted at CVS and left the store with stolen items. She left in a white SUV, possibly turning right onto Route 38. Wilmington Police were notified and contacted Billerica, Tewksbury and State Police. Police were unable to locate the woman. CVS would like her trespassed once located. (12:04am)
  • Wilmington Police issued 6 speeding citations on Wildwood Street. (8:19am-8:52am)
  • A Woburn Street resident reported their vehicle was damaged by a bullet sometime overnight. Police responded and determined the damage was not from a bullet. (8:47am)
  • A gray 2014 Ford Escape and a red 2014 Chevy Malibu were involved in a crash at the Lucci’s Supermarket Plaza. No injuries noted. (1:55pm)
  • A McDonald’s employee reported a hit and run, noting a red 2006 Toyota Corolla struck the building and caused damage. Employee says the business has the accident on film. (2:41pm)
  • Tecomet on Eames Street was evacuated due to a small fire in the buffing room. Fire was extinguished. Fire Department arrived to investigate. (4:47pm)
  • A 4-vehicle crash occurred in front of the Wilmington Congregational Church on Middlesex Avenue. 2 vehicles were towed. 1 was transported by the Fire Department. (4:48pm)
  • David C. King (38, Tewksbury) was taken into protective custody. Manager at Chili’s told King he was “shut off.” King threatened the manager and followed her into the kitchen. He then began harassing customers in the parking lot. (6:31pm)
  • A caller reported his co-worker at NAPA on Woburn Street verbally threatened him. Police responded and restored the peace. (8:15pm)
