WHS BOYS TRACK: Wildcats Fall In Season Opener, But 4 Qualify For States

WILMINGTON, MA — The WHS Boys Varsity Track Team opened their season with a 48-38 loss to Melrose at the Reggie Lewis Field House on Wednesday.

Despite the defeat, the Wildcats performed well, with several standout performances.

“Our 4×400 relay team (Ray Russell, Justin Ekstrom, Ryan Aldrich, and David Bell) and Ray Russell (1000 meter) qualified for the state meet against a tough Melrose team led by some of the best distance runners in the state,” said Head Coach Mike Kenney.
