WILMINGTON, MA — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, December 17, 2016:
- An Uber drive reported she attempted to pick up a fare on Andover Street, but the parties were intoxicated. She did allow entry into her vehicle. She believes one of the parties damaged the outside the vehicle. Police confirmed minor damage. (1:08am)
- A blue 2004 Chevy Trailblazer drove off the roadway on Burlington Avenue. No injuries. Vehicle towed. Stop sign and street sign to Swain Ct. damaged. (12:50pm)
- A plow truck hit a vehicle in the Cumberland Farms parking lot. Police assisted with paperwork exchange. (2:16pm)
- Fire Department assisted with a snowblower fire on Main Street. (2:22pm)
- A snow plow and a car were involved in a crash at Shawsheen Avenue and Hougton Road. No injuries noted. Both vehicles towed. (2:25pm)
- Police spoke to a Middlesex Avenue resident and advised them not to throw snow into the roadway. (2:55pm)
- A gray 2002 Accura SE struck a rock wall on Glen Road. Police closed the road while the car was removed and towed. (3:18pm)
- Market Basket caught a shoplifter. Police responded and placed Christopher E. Marshall (32, Somerville) under arrest for shoplifting by asportation. (3:33pm)
- An attempted robbery took place at the Dunkin Donuts on Lowell Street. No weapon was shown and no threat was made. Police but out a BOLO out for the suspect. Management will drop off surveillance footage to the station tomorrow morning. (6:59pm)
