POLICE LOG for December 16: Billerica Woman Arrested For 2nd OUI; Drive-Thu Drama

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, December 16, 2016:

  • A white 1995 Buick Century was observed going through the drive-thru at Simard’s in the wrong direction. Police responded. Situation checked OK. (1:03am)
  • An individual reported money missing from a safety deposit box at Lowell Five Bank on Main Street. (8:49am)
  • A hit and run from Thursday, December 15 on Lowell Street was reported. (10:28am)
  • A gray 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a blue 2010 Honda Civic were involved in a crash at Avalon Oaks. No injuries noted. Both vehicles towed. (10:59am)
  • Animal Control Officer notified of a turkey with an apparent leg injury in the front yard of an Appletree Lane home. Turkey wound up flying away and did not appear injured. (2:44pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a party stuck in an elevator at Deming Way. (4:03pm)
  • Heather Meybaun (42, Billerica) was arrested for OUI Liquor (2nd Offense); Marked Lanes Violation; and Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. Meybaun was witnessed erratically operating her brown 1998 Toyota Camry down Route 128, driving on the wrong side of the road stopping without reason. (4:39pm)
  • Police gave a verbal warning for marked lanes violation, unsafe lane change, and changing lanes where prohibited to a driver. Driver stated she was a doctor at MGH and was headed in to respond to an emergency. (4:43pm)
  • A man attempted to pull open a drive-thru window at Dunkin Donuts on Middlesex Avenue after refusing to pay for a coffee. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing a dark color zip-up jacket with a fur hood. (8:07pm)
