WILMINGTON, MA — The WHS Girls Varsity Soccer Team held their end-of-the-season banquet last week. The team not only celebrated its Middlesex League Championship, but also its MIAA Team Academic Excellence Award.
The team received the award by maintaining a combined grade point average higher than a 3.0, attaining “gold level” status. The team also displayed outstanding citizenship and sportsmanship throughout the season, including spearheading a fundraiser for the Hope & Friendship Metastatic Breast Cancer Foundation.
