POLICE LOG for December 8: Incidents Not As They First Appear; Coyote Sighting

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, December 8, 2016:

  • Police noticed a woman vomiting in her vehicle parked at Sonny’s Mobile on the Run. Situation checked OK. Woman wasn’t feeling well. (1:48am)
  • A caller reported a suspicious white man with a brown coat, yellow vest and backpack looking in heir neighbor’s vehicle on Shawsheen Avenue. Police responded. Situation checked OK. Man was doing contract work for Reading Light in the area. (10:52am)
  • A Marcia Road caller reported seeing a coyote in the area.  Coyote did not appear injured or sick and just left the caller’s property. (11:13am)
  • Manager of the Shell Gas Station on Main Street reported a box truck has been in their lot since 7am unattended. Police responded. Situation checked OK. Driver was sleeping in vehicle. (1:57pm)
  • Police restored peace between a mother and daughter arguing in the MBTA parking lot on Main Street. (2:17pm)
  • A Nathan Road caller reported receiving two phone calls today from a man with an accent claiming to be from “Green America,” but he felt the call was a scam. (4:05pm)
  • A 3-vehicle crash occurred near the Lucci’s Supermarket Plaza on Lowell Street. No injuries noted. (8:02pm)
  • A caller reported an unmarked car with blue lights and two men in plain clothes on either side of a car with a female operator at Salem Street and Cunningham Street.  Police responded and situation checked OK. State Police were assisting a female driver with a disabled vehicle. AAA arrived on scene. (8:02pm)
