POLICE LOG for December 3: Pitbull Bites Dog At Dog Park; 2 Motorbikes Stolen; Bad Santa?

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, December 3, 2016:

  • Police received report of 2 stolen motorbikes on Chestnut Street. Bikes were started up and driven off property. Police notified Burlington and Woburn Police. (8:42am)
  • A walk-in party located a tan and orange Thruster brand bicycle on his Bridge Lane property and turned it into the station. (10:57am)
  • A caller reported he just left the town dog park due to another person’s pitbull biting his coonhound. Caller stated he is taking his dog home and then to the vet. He was advised a log entry would be made and the Animal Control Officer would follow up next week. Caller got dog owner’s name and dog’s name. (12:45pm)
  • A caller reported two ATVs were being operated in the conservation area on Towpath Drive. ATVs were last seen heading towards Butters Row. Police checked the area and were unable to locate. (12:52pm)
  • A caller reported kids were skating boarding in the tennis courts at the high school. Caller was concerned the new courts would be ruined. Police responded and found no one on the courts, but did speak with a group behind the building and advised them of the no skating boarding signs. (1:19pm)
  • A Gunderson Road caller reported a man came to her backdoor selling steaks. Police located man and advised him of town bylaws regarding door-to-door solicitation. Man agreed to move on from town. (2:33pm)
  • A caller reported she lost control of her Phantom 3 drone with GoPro camera near the Shawsheen School. (4:41pm)
  • A Pilling Road resident reported a party dressed as Santa came to their house looking to talk with children. She was unaware of anyone planning for this. Police checked the area and was unable to locate. (8:06pm)
