R.I.P. JANET: Popular Community Volunteer Passes Away, GoFundMe Page Established

WILMINGTON, MA — A GoFundMe page has been created to raise monies for the family of Janet Coulouris.  Janet, a well-known Wilmington resident, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday morning.  She was active in the community, serving in a variety of volunteer roles, including as a board member on the Wilmington Educational Foundation. Janet was the Treasurer of We’re One Wilmington at the time of her passing, and assisted with WOW’s Festival of Trees just this past weekend.

The GoFundMe page, established by WOW President Jomarie O’Mahony, reads:

It is with a very heavy heart that I set up this page in memory of my dear friend and neighbor, Janet Coulouris.  She was always giving of herself and is an angel to many.

Janet supported her daughter, daughter’s fiance and her two grandchildren (who lived with her) in many ways and was the primary babysitter for her grandchildren when her daughter and daughter’s fiance had to work.

Over these next few weeks as the shock of her death continues to reverberate through us all, I want to alleviate some of her daughter, Jamie’s, stress in not having to worry about working shifts to keep paying bills as she tries to figure out day care and other living expenses that Janet had helped with.
