WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 5 things you need to know in Wilmington for Monday, December 5, 2016.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see snow before 1pm, then rain and snow likely between 1pm and 3pm, then a chance of rain after 3pm. High near 38. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible. At night, it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a steady temperature around 34. Northwest wind 3 to 5 mph.
#2) The Wilmington SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) is hosting a workshop for parents and professionals — “Anxiety in Elementary Children” — from 6:30pm to 8pm in the Wilmington High School’s Large Media Room. Is your child affected by anxiety in school or at home? Then this workshop is for you! Come meet Alice Brown-Legrand, the Coordinator for Behavioral Health and Social Emotional Support for Wilmington Public Schools, as she helps us to understand anxiety in the elementary age child.
