WILMINGTON, MA — Marshall Ames Richards, also known as the Boston Opera Guy, will perform at the Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) on Thursday, December 15 at 2:30 pm.
This is your chance to hear world class opera right in our own backyard.
Marshall was “discovered” by Harvard voice teacher Thomas Jones, who first heard him sing outside the Boston Public Library last summer. Jones said he has heard his fair share of buskers but knows real talent when he hears it. Since that time, Jones has worked with Marshall helping him perfect his talent.
This past summer, Marshall was tapped by the Friends of the Boston Public Garden to perform once a week following the Piano in the Park series. He has also been featured in the Boston Globe and WCVB Channel 5’s Chronicle.
The afternoon concert will feature an array of art songs, sacred music, and opera arias in Italian, French, German, Latin, and English.
The concert is free to the public.
