WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Thursday, December 1, 2016.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see patchy fog between 7am and 9am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 55.
#2) Santa and his elves will be at the Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9) from 6pm to 7:30pm to receive wish lists and pose for a quick photo with Wilmington boys and girls. Don’t forget your camera to capture this special moment!
#3) The Wilmington Recreation Commission meets at 5pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 8). Read the agenda HERE.
#4) The Wilmington Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) meets at 6:30pm in the Wilmington High School Library. Read the agenda HERE.
#5) Wilmington funnyman Steve Bjork will discuss his new book, Almost Domesticated: A Comedian’s Collection of Short Stories and Essays, at 7pm at the Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street). Be prepared to laugh! Following a brief talk, Bjork will take your questions and sell and sign copies of his book.
#6) Rocco’s Restaurant & Bar (193 Main Street) is hosting live music with Larry Gilbert at 6pm.
#7) Red Heat Tavern (300 Lowell Street) is hosting live music with Natalie Joly at 8pm.
